DIY Rosewater

One of my favorite things to have in hand is Rosewater. I not only love the smell, but I love how refreshing it is for the skin. I use Rosewater on my face as a toner, on my skin, my hair, and I even use it as a room mist to add a light fragrance to the room. Rosewater is simply a go-to for anything! Today I am going to share with you how to make your very own Rosewater at home.

To make Rosewater at home, all you need is 2 cups of filtered water, and one cup of fresh rose petals. You can use any color rose petals, the color used will affect the color of the water.

Start by bringing to a boil, 2 cups of water. Once the water has started to boil, lower the heat to low and pour in 1 cup of rose petals. Stir the petals into the water to help them better become infused. Allow to simmer on low for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, remove the pot from the stove and strain out the water. Chill the water in the refrigerator for 5 minutes and you are all done! You now have your very own Rosewater, fragrant, refreshing, hydrating, and aromatic.

I like to pour my Rosewater into a glass spray container. This makes it easy to use as well as preserves the mix better than plastic would. This is such an easy and fun activity. Great to do with the kids and the results are amazing. I hope you enjoy this post. For more information check out our youtube channel! Stay Happy, Stay Beautiful, and Stay Safe!
